Senator Wielechowski moved the bill be returned to second reading for the purpose of amendments offered today. Without objection, the bill was returned to second reading. Senator Wielechowski offered Amendment No. 1 : Page 10, following line 28: Insert a new bill section to read: "* Sec. 23. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to read: REPORTING REQUIREMENT. Annually, beginning in 2019 and ending in 2021, not later than March 1 of each regular legislative session, the Alaska Railroad Corporation shall present to the Resources Committees of the legislature and the Finance Committees of the legislature a report on its activities under this Act. The Alaska Railroad Corporation may satisfy the reporting requirement under this section by appearing in person before the Resources Committees of the legislature and the Finance Committees of the legislature." 2018-04-09 Senate Journal Page 2541 Renumber the following bill sections accordingly. Senator Wielechowski moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 1. Senator Coghill objected. Senator Coghill moved and asked unanimous consent to be shown as a cosponsor on Amendment No. 1. Without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Coghill withdrew his objection. There being no further objection, Amendment No. 1 was adopted. Senator Wielechowski offered Amendment No. 2 : Page 8, line 17, following "action": Insert ", including a summary of the board's findings under (a) of this section" Senator Wielechowski moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 2. Without objection, Amendment No. 2 was adopted. Senator Wielechowski offered Amendment No. 3 : Page 8, line 17: Delete "and" Page 8, line 19, following "mail": Insert "; and (3) provide notice, including a summary of the board's findings under (a) of this section, and an opportunity to comment on the proposed action to the Department of Natural Resources, the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, and the governing body of each municipality in which the land is located" Senator Wielechowski moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 3. Senator Coghill objected, then withdrew his objection. There being no further objection, Amendment No. 3 was adopted.
